Time to Go to the Woods
Some of the road gates into the National Forest will be opened on May 1, while others will open May 14. At the same time, much of the forest will be open for wood cutting, with permits available on May 1.
From what I saw on a drive this weekend, the gates might be open, but many roads are still snowed in at higher elevations.
