"DELVING THE BODY FOR STORY"
A two day workshop at UNM (ENGL 298, crn  #38820)
With Ellie Behrstock,
Saturday, April 17th and 24th, 9-5 p.m.
Klauer 107

We all have a story to tell.
Stories live inside our bodies, in memory and imagination, in muscle and bone.
In this workshop participants will "delve the body" for the rich
repository of imagery and experience that lives in our flesh.
Through meditation, simple chi-kung and tai chi exercises, movement improvisation,
drawing and dance, you will explore the rich language of your body, open the gateways
to the imagination, and write.  These activities will generate spontaneous imagery, gifts
from the unconscious, which you will integrate with artistic intent to write an original story.
Participants will unearth themes for a short story or novel.

To register contact UNM Taos:  757-6200
For  more information call Ellie:  751-7393

Bring a journal and wear comfortable clothes, suitable for movement.

Ellie Behrstock, MA, is a writer, painter, and expressive arts therapist.
She coaches individuals and runs workshops to help people connect
authentically with their stories and creative works.  She is co-owner
