Actually, it's just one of many reasons, but Taos was in the top ten best places for winter weather in 2009 and 2010, according to lists of the best and the worst compiled by The Weather Channel. Miami Beach was at the top of the worst list, but Taos took second place on the best list, with Seattle at number one.
