Town of Taos News Brief 3/8/10, 4 items
1) 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, Town of Taos Council Meeting Agenda, attached. (NOTE: Tonight’s 5:30 p.m., March 8th meeting in Council Chambers is different – tonight is only to honor the Taos Ice Hockey State Champs.)

3) Call for Artists for 3rd annual Taos Art Glass Invitational and Walking on Glass Tour 2010, during July and August, 2010: Delinda VanneBrightyn, Michael Miro, and Toni Hippeli, are committed to making this year’s “Glass Invitational” a showcase for the Taos community — attracting artists and those who appreciate art to Taos this summer. Glass Alliance – New Mexico is a co-sponsor, and together they are planning an exciting July/August agenda focused on attracting arts visitors ("SOFA West Santa Fe 2010" attendees will have special access to this Taos event). 4) Museum and Muffins Party Kicks Off Spring Art in Museums – A Free Program for Children Ages 2-5: The Museum Association of Taos invites all children, ages 2 to 5, and their caregivers to a Museums and Muffins Party this Wednesday, March 10, 11 am until 12 noon, at the Millicent Rogers Museum. The party kicks off the spring schedule for our regular free pre-school program, Art in Museums. Join us for muffins and juice, a tour of some of the collections, and two exciting art projects. Pick up our spring schedule and information on our summer Art Discovery Camp for 6 to 12 year olds. Meet other moms, dads, grandparents and caregivers. Have fun helping your pre-schooler with a special art project. Art in Museums happens every Wednesday from 11-11:30 am with a story and art project, and it rotates among our five outstanding museums the Millicent Rogers Museum, The Harwood Museum of Art, the Taos Art Museum and Fechin House, the Blumenschein Home & Museum, and la Hacienda de los Martinez.
