Town of Taos News Brief 1/26/10
1) Positive news for El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa and Taos – this five star property joins Marriott’s Autograph Collection and its reservation/marketing power along with six other Kessler signature hotels. 3) NCRTD implements new bus stop in Pilar beginning yesterday, Jan. 25, 2010 -- The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) proudly announces the Taos- Espanola Route will now be stopping in Pilar at the Visitor Center. “This is the third route improvement we implement in Taos County this month”, stated Josette Lucero, Executive Director with the North Central Regional Transit District. “We are striving to meet the needs of the community by extending our free bus service throughout Taos County”, she said.
There will be five stops in Pilar Monday- Friday, two southbound stops and three northbound stops on our way to Taos. The southbound stop will be at 8:40 a.m. and another at 5:00 p.m. The northbound route from Espanola to Taos will have three stops at the Pilar Visitor Center at 7:33 a.m., 10:44 a.m. and 6:53 p.m.
The NCRTD began free bus service from Taos to UNM Klauer Campus on Tuesday, January 19th as well as the Cerro-Questa-Red River Route also began this month. The NCRTD offers FREE bus service throughout north central New Mexico in Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe and Taos Counties.
