LULA WASHINGTON DANCE THEATRE

One Performance Only
Wednesday, October 21 2009, 8:00 PM

Taos Community Auditorium

The Los Angeles-based, 10-member company is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional dance. The company fuses theatre with dance, humor with emotion, and the classical with the contemporary, and they take the 'theater" part of their name seriously - often weaving spoken text, singing and theater technique into its work. This makes the repertory unusually high in energy, entertaining and accessible.

Tickets are $30 general admission, $25 for TCA Members, or $15 for youth 18 years and under but they are limited, so get yours today!
Call: 575-758-2052, or stop in at FX-18 on Bent Street

Lula Washington Dance is funded by New England Foundation for the Arts' National Dance Project (NDP), with generous support by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation,

the Ford Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation,
and the MetLife Community Connections Fund of the MetLife Foundation.

Nine artists investigate the subject of seeds using nine different mediums. Initially inspired by the stunning micro-photography of the book 'Seeds, Time Capsules of Life', the project has grown into an exploration of the importance of seeds,
the environment and our place in it all. There will also be an interactive, educational display for children of all ages.
