Where Is That Bag of Chili From?

The roasters are out around Taos, and the aroma of roasting chilis is always something that I enjoy this time of year. However, an article in the Santa Fe New Mexican outlines the problems our local growers experience with labor and foreign competition.
I don't use enough of them to buy the large bags, but do hope that I can continue to buy small lots of local chilis in the grocery stores. Read the article to get a sense of the problems being addressed by the local growers, their association, and the University of NM in keeping this agricultural product locally grown.
