Summer of Love – The Power of Pink
For the Summer of Love, Josie Lenwell is showing "The Power of Pink" a photo documentary of the present peace movement through the work of Code Pink, Women for Peace. Code Pink was founded in 2002 as a women-initiated, women-run grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars and redirect our resources into health care, education and other life-affirming activities.
Josie's work will be on display at the Taos Art Plaza, 223 Paseo del Pueblo Sur (across from Smiths). The work will be on display through September 2009. Call Josie at 751-0407.
Josie will also be showing photographic reflections of "The Rustic Beauty of the Southwest" at Whole Foods Market in Santa Fe, 753 Cerrillos Rd. from July 3rd to July 31st with a "Meet the Artist" reception on July16th from 5:30 -7:00pm.
