Taos Real Estate

1) Town of Taos Regular Council Meeting tomorrow, 12/16/08 -- Regularly at 9:30 a.m., this meeting may be postponed to 11:30 a.m. due to weather (two hour delay; meeting agenda attached). With this action, the Town of Taos is announcing its new policy -- to align itself with the Taos Municipal School District’s snow-safety delay/closure schedule whenever it is called by the District.  Tomorrow is the first day for this change in scheduling/policy, and a two hour delay due to weather is anticipated.  The broadcast outlets reaching the greater Taos area do an excellent job of announcing such delays early a.m. for all concerned.  Media should be aware of this new policy, and should the District announce a delay, they should feel free to announce a Town of Taos delay of the same duration.  This office will also advise via email as delays/closure information becomes available.

2) Also due to weather concerns -- Mayor Bobby F. Duran's Retirement Reception at the Taos Volunteer Fire Department Fire House has been rescheduled to 12 noon to 1 p.m., this Friday, December 19, 2008. It will not be held tomorrow, December 16^th as originally scheduled.
