Roadwork - Interstate 40 Westbound at mile marker 140.
Title: Interstate 40 Westbound at mile marker 140.
Description: Joint NMDOT / Laguna Pueblo project begins on May 19th to improve traffic flow through the frontage road and WB off ramp area at MP 140 of Interstate 40. The contractor for this $2.6 million project is A.S. Horner and work will entail building a new EB frontage road and bridge and repaving of existing frontage road for a length of about one mile. The construction project will have no impact on I-40 EB lanes and minimal impact on I-40 WB lanes through the interchange area. There will be some lane closures on the frontage road mostly during non-peak hours and minor traffic delays can be expected with one lane flagging operation through the work zones. The project is expected to be completed by mid October. Please pay attention to the posted construction signs and watch for construction equipment and workers in the area.

Description: Work will begin on U.S. 285 in Guadalupe, Lincoln, and Debaca Counties, Monday, June 21, 2010. This project is between mile marker 168 and mile marker 204. This project consists of a 2.5” inch overlay and during this project motorists can expect short delays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists are asked to watch for construction personnel working in the area, observe temporary lane closures, and reduce speed while work is taking place. Description: NM 58, NMDOT has currently placed load restrictions from milepost 0 (Jct. US 64 in Cimarron) to MP 18 (Jct. I-25 north of Springer) for a maximum 3-axle, 15 ton vehicle for safety reasons at the Ponil Creek Bridge. All vehicles exceeding this restriction must take an alternate route. Alternate routes include NM 21 or US 64. A project is scheduled for this winter to replace the bridge and it is anticipated that NM 58 will be re-opened to all traffic late Spring/early summer 2011.

Description: New Road Construction on US 54 from MP 84.7 to MP 94.32. Speed limit reduced to 45 MPH. Width restriction of 12' will be enforced. Installation of concrete box culverts, concrete barrier wall, installation of 24" culvert pipe and new roadway will be taking place throughout the life of the project. Flaggers will be on the project during the hauling of material from borrow pits located on the west side of the project. Intermediate stops may occur. FNF of NM is the Contractor. Description: GRIP I_25 / Tramway to Bernalillo Interstate Reconstruction (Loomis/FNF Const.) • Ongoing and until further notice - I_25 southbound traffic will share the northbound lanes through the project with 2 lanes in each direction. I_25 both directions between Tramway and Bernalillo mile markers 234 to 240, has the speed limit reduced to 55 mph. Double fine zone is in effect. Where barrier wall has been placed lanes are reduced to 11 feet wide. ENHANCED LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL BE IN PLACE THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. • Sunday 8/29 at 5am – I-25 southbound traffic will be switched onto the newly constructed southbound lanes. Northbound traffic will be switched to the southbound lanes second week of September.
