Description: NM 63, ONE LANE CLOSURE for guardrail installation along the roadway. J-H Supply will be working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The contractor will start on the North end of NM 63. Speed will be reduced to 20 mph through the work zone. Motorists are to use caution and expect delays during this project.

Title: US 64 eastbound and westbound from 2.2 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 62 to 0.2 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 64
Description: Roadwork in Progress: US 64 MP 62 -Bloomfield The New Mexico Department of Transportation has contracted Sterling Brothers Construction, Inc. of Aztec to rebuild US 64 from milepost 62 to 64 for two miles within the City of Bloomfield . The project anticipated completion is Summer of 2012. Contractor typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with extended hours and weekends possible as needed. All work schedules are subject to change. TRAFFIC IMPACTS Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times with a minimum 11-foot driving lanes. Oversize loads wider than 10’, must call 505-334-7523 Currently building Phase 3 of the project by preparing the south side of US 64 for sub grade, curb & gutter and sidewalk installation and asphalt placement. Once all the asphalt has been placed, the driving lanes will be shifted to the south, storm drain laterals will be installed and paving operations will be completed. In the final phase of construction, driving lanes will be shifted to newly built lanes and medians will be installed. Note: Wide loads are restricted through the project. The speed limit is reduced to 35 MPH through the project. For your safety, please stay on established driveways and travel lanes. Motorists are urged to drive slowly through the work zones and maintain a safe following distance for the safety of other motorists and highway crews.

Motorists will experience intermittent lane drops with a pilot car operation escort and periodic travel delays up to15 minutes. Heavy equipment will be moving in and out of work zones. Description: Pavement rehabilitation work is ongoing on US 70/380 between mm 301 and mm 325 in the westbound lanes west of Roswell. Work consist sof cold milling of the existing pavement with a new hot mix asphalt overlay. There will be temporary one-lane closure with a 45 mph speed limit in the vicinity of the rehabilitation work. Work will be conducted bwetween the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Description: Tucumcari, NM: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District 4 office and Versatile Construction Inc., announce the construction operations on US 54 which is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 20, 2012. Versatile Construction Inc. will be working Monday thru Friday with the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The project is scheduled for 100 working days and is programmed at $637,400.00. Project starts at mile marker 305 and ends at mile marker 327, and the construction consists of: Culvert extensions, minor paving, and permanent signing. Versatile Construction Inc. will start to establish erosion control measures and remove existing culvert pipe. The contractor will be utilizing traffic control as all work is on the shoulder of US 54. Speed will be reduced to 35 mph in the construction zone for the safety of the employees. Description: Las Vegas, NM: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District 4 office and MWI Inc., announce the construction operations at Romeroville US 84 Interchange/exit 339 and on NM 283/Frontage Road. MWI will be working Monday thru Thursday with the hours of 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. The project is scheduled for 120 days and is programmed at $497,000.00. MWI Incorporated has started to replace and install lighting, curb and gutter, and guardrail, and miscellaneous construction. The contractor will be utilizing traffic control as all work is on the shoulder of the interstate, and on and off ramps into Las Vegas. MWI will begin work on exit 339 and then proceed to NM 283. Title: US 84 from at mile marker 161 to 0.6 miles South of US 285 - NM 466 exit at mile marker 162
Description: City of Santa Fe - April 21st, the final phase of tunnel construction will start on the east side of St. Francis Drive with the switching over of traffic onto the newly constructed tunnel on the west side of the highway (weather permitting). The City of Santa Fe and the New Mexico Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the contractor David Montoya Construction and its traffic control subcontractor, Highway Supply, both of Albuquerque made the decision to use a weekend-switchover to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public. Come Monday morning, weather permitting, commuters should wake up to a revised traffic pattern north of Zia Road. Weekend travelers should note that southbound traffic needing to turn east onto Zia Road may be directed to find an alternate route during this switchover. Saturday shoppers needing access to businesses on Zia Road east of St. Francis Drive are advised in advance to find an alternate route during this traffic switchover. The detour is about 600 feet long between Zia and Siringo roads. Because of the high volume of traffic on St. Francis Drive, six lanes of traffic will be maintained throughout construction— three in each direction — but traffic will be shifted and each of the six lanes will be only 10 feet wide, which is 2-feet less than the standard 12 feet lane most motorists are used to. The detour will be in place throughout the rest of the construction period which is expected to last through the end of June. During this time, the speed limit will be reduced from 45 mph to 30 mph. Description: NM 599 & CR 62 Connector Interchange- Starting Monday April 23 – December 2012 - The cross roads between the frontage roads to NM 599 and County Road 62 will be closed. The east and west frontage roads on NM 599 will remain open. Travelers can use County Road (CR) 70 as an alternate route to cross NM 599. CR 70 is 2.3 miles north of CR 62. There will be lane closures on the northbound and southbound lanes of NM 599 between mile post 6 and mile post 7. Travelers can expect minor delays between the hours 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be a reduced speed to 45 mph in the work zone. Drivers are asked to watch for construction personnel working the area, observe temporary construction signing, and reduce speed to the posted speed limits.

Description: I-25/St. Francis Bridge Rehabilitation - Starting Thursday, May 3rd, the I-25 northbound off-ramp to US 84/285 (St. Francis Drive) will require complete closure. This work is expected to be complete late summer 2012. Description: During the Reconstruction of the Overpass on US 54MP 81.7, a Detour will be built to the south east of the Overpass from US 54 over to Railroad Avenue beginning May 14, 2012. During the Construction of the Detour, Railroad Avenue from US 54 to Derbyshire will be closed to traffic. Only those individuals living between Derbyshire Road and US 54 will be allowed access. Other residents in the area can find access from Derbyshire Road South to Tulie Gate Road or from Derbyshire west to Hurshel White Ave, North to Schoeller Place Road and East back to US 54 while the Detour is under construction. Description: The NMDOT and Kirkland Construction announce that road construction is ongoing on US 64/87 from mile marker 359 to 375. Construction activities can be expected at the following locations: Haul trucks and machinery crossing at the following mile markers 363, 373, 375. Be especially cautious at these locations beginning May 1, 2012 as paving operations will resume. Mile marker 359 to 361 bridge construction is ongoing as crews continue to place concrete and set beams on the existing two lane highway. Traffic is detoured transitioning onto new lanes at mile markers 359.5 and 362.5. Please be advised that in addition to the specific noted locations, construction activities can be anticipated throughout the work zone from mile marker 359 to 375. The NMDOT advises traveling motorists and the general public to use extreme caution and be aware of heavy equipment and concrete trucks crossing the roadway during daylight hours and expect reduced speeds as they are posted through work zones. Please pay close attention to construction work zone signs and obey speed limits as double fines are strictly enforced throughout the project limits. Description: Taos - US64 MM 242 - Starting Wednesday May 2 until May 20 - The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge located on U.S. 64 will be CLOSED at night in both directions. The closure will be in effect starting the night of May 2nd until May 20th from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Motorists are urged to seek an alternate route during these times. The bridge will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. First responders will be allowed to cross the bridge during this time for emergency incidents. The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge will be opened to travelers during the day from 7:00 am to 7:00 p.m. Motorists will encounter a one lane closure with temporary traffic signals. Phase 3 work consists of demolition of the existing deck and placement of a new polyester concrete surface on the bridge. Anticipated completion of this project is June 2012. Drivers are asked to watch for construction personnel working in the area, observe the temporary construction signing, and reduce speed to the posted speed limits. Description: City of Santa Fe - April 21st, the final phase of tunnel construction will start on the east side of St. Francis Drive with the switching over of traffic onto the newly constructed tunnel on the west side of the highway (weather permitting). The City of Santa Fe and the New Mexico Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the contractor David Montoya Construction and its traffic control subcontractor, Highway Supply, both of Albuquerque made the decision to use a weekend-switchover to minimize inconvenience to the traveling public. Come Monday morning, weather permitting, commuters should wake up to a revised traffic pattern north of Zia Road. Weekend travelers should note that southbound traffic needing to turn east onto Zia Road may be directed to find an alternate route during this switchover. Saturday shoppers needing access to businesses on Zia Road east of St. Francis Drive are advised in advance to find an alternate route during this traffic switchover. The detour is about 600 feet long between Zia and Siringo roads. Because of the high volume of traffic on St. Francis Drive, six lanes of traffic will be maintained throughout construction— three in each direction — but traffic will be shifted and each of the six lanes will be only 10 feet wide, which is 2-feet less than the standard 12 feet lane most motorists are used to. The detour will be in place throughout the rest of the construction period which is expected to last through the end of June. During this time, the speed limit will be reduced from 45 mph to 30 mph.
