6) Below are the request for proposal rankings as completed by review committees examining the submissions for the three annual proposal areas for Town of Taos funding in the areas of economic development; community development; reduction in youth crime and violence. This year the RFPs were very focused on specific needs in each of these areas, rather than being more generic within each category, as they were last year (the first year of their issuance). Each RFP has a total pool of $40,000 in funds to be awarded (all three pools total $120,000). The first three rankings in each RFP area are recommended for some type of funding and the top ranking entities are noted below. Letters have already been sent to the entities submitting and recommendations for funding will go to the Town of Taos Council at an early December 2008 special meeting. At that time specific funding recommendations will be announced along with program details for each funding target.
