Santa Fe Film Festivals showcase two made in New Mexico films

This is for the New Mexico film lovers in you, all are invited!

Since the film industry is the brightest thing on the NM economic scene these days many people bemoan the loss of film festivals such as the Taos Talking Pictures, and with the response to Governor Richardson's plea for more film festival activity in Taos comes a positive step forward with regional collaboration between Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos with co-sponsorship of the events by The New Mexico Tourism Department and The town of Taos.

The attached Press Release PDF and Word Doc describes the upcoming film events at the Guild Cinema in ABQ on Nov. 17th and at the Storyteller Theater in Taos on Nov. 18th featuring two films made in New Mexico, “Flowing Grasses:The Life of Dean Howell” at 6:30 pm and “Taos” the movie at 8:30 pm. Proof positive that our state is truly making great films. Tickets are $10 for one film or $15 for both and are available at the door. Wine will be served between the two shows with a chance to meet the filmmakers and other special guests.

The 9th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival is a non-profit and takes place December 3-7. Annually the festival will take place the first Wednesday of December each year and offers a year-round selection, at the Film Center, of independent films, revolving series, educational workshops and varied opportunities for working filmmakers to network and reach out to the public. Festival tickets for each film are $10, 10 packs sell for $75 and passes are available for $450 VIP or $300 for All Films. Hope to see you there.
