Taos Real Estate

Though sales have slowed significantly, Taos has weathered national home price declines pretty well. Yes, there have been quite a few price reduction notices in my daily real estate hotsheet report. However, as I've written before, they tend to be homes that were never priced right for sale in the first place, a trait of the Taos real estate market. There should be more of them, as it would reflect a more accurate picture of value here. That said, feel good about prices here, particularly with this single Google alert email I got this morning with these article links:

• No cure yet for falling prices
• Home prices seen far from bottom
• Owners in denial over home prices
• California home prices to drop 32% in '08
• Portland home sales continue to tumble

Enough already!  The Taos real estate market seems like a walk in the park.
