River Otters in the Rio Grande Again

Five river otters will be released next week into the Rio Grande River next week. The project involves Taos Pueblo, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's wildlife services and the state Game and Fish Department.
These animals haven't been reported as seen in the area since the 1950's, so those fishing and enjoying the river may get a treat in the future.
If you'd like to learn more about the river otter, there is some great information and more photos here.
