Who Says Protests Don’t Work? – Gas Prices Drop in Taos

Gas pump pricesTwo of our residents are named in an article about Taos gas prices in the Las Cruces Sun-News.  Jeff Northrup and Harold Timber have been protesting in the street about the large price difference here in comparison to Santa Fe and Albuquerque.  You've probably seen one of them in front of area stations with a protest sign.

A Ranchos de Taos station started the process by dropping prices, and others soon followed suit.  Right now, there are a couple of stations in town that are $0.10/gallon cheaper than the others.  I can't remember that kind of price spread since I've lived here.  Thanks to those with the energy and desire to stand outside and bring about change.
