Voice Transcription of Posts for This Site
If you haven’t figured out that I love technology and the Internet, just keep watching this site. It is already far ahead of any other real estate site in Taos in the use of enhancements, blogging and video. I just bumped into a new feature that will transcribe the text of posts into a voice file. You’ll see the “listen now” button at the top of every post. If you click it, you’ll hear an audio transcription, usually of pretty good quality.
It’s the best out there right now, so I can put up with some missed words and weird treatment of dashes and certain punctuation. It also does a terrible job of transcribing my statistics posts, as they have tables and charts which it tries to read. But I hope some will find it useful. I think it may help those who have a problem with font size or reading the text. It is also now going to make my posts available via iTunes for subscription as a podcast.
The good news is that it isn’t my voice with Texas accent! Play this one to see how it works!
