2) Taos Day, Friday, July 18th – At 12 noon (half day), Town of Taos Town Hall, including the Recycle Center and Taos Regional Landfill, will close to the public for annual Taos Day. This is Taos Fiestas weekend. Home/commercial pick up of trash by Waste Management will occur as usual Friday and all weekend.
Chile Line Transportation will cease service for the day at 1p.m. on Friday, July 18th, and resume over the weekend with slight route alterations downtown, as occurred last year, to accommodate Fiestas traffic. Due to this event, overall Chile Line Transportation schedule delays may occur.
More information will be distributed Monday about Fiestas details.
Town of Taos Historic District businesses: It is planned that booth vendors, and other official Fiestas participants, will park their trailers/all-weekend vehicles in the Town of Taos Town Hall/Library and Quesnel parking lots. This will leave downtown two-hour free parking/metered parking and the all-day parking behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Church available for visitors.

“Loving in the War Years, Camilla Bareiss’s new works; powerful metaphoric images depicting her lifelong interest in humanity’s endeavor to create war juxtaposed with the soul’s desire to connect with others regardless of which side of the war fence they sit. In Camilla’s words, “Put most simply, my work is about Humanity, War and Peace. It is a study in archetypes. The Hero, the Dark Horse, the White Horse, the Beauty Queens, Juliette re-imagined as D’Ua Khalil, the Burning Bridge, the Isolated Traveler (The Astronaut), Death and the Eternal Mountain. This current series is an illustration of my view of the current state of War around the globe and through history. It is an acknowledgement of both its presence and the miraculous peace that surrounds me.”
