Town of Taos News Brief #54, June 30, 2008
1) Town/County Joint meeting postponed from this week to 9 a.m., July 23rd, Town Council Chambers on Civic Plaza Dr. Rescheduling completed at County’s request. Agenda to come.
2) Planning and Zoning Meeting 6:30 p.m., this Wed., July 2nd, Council Chambers. Agenda attached.
3) Town of Taos Special Meeting/Briefing Meeting, 1 p.m., Tues., tomorrow, July 1st, Council Chambers. Agenda attached. This is the first day for new Town Manager Daniel Miera.
4) Reminder: Town Hall closed this Friday, July 4th – but free fireworks extravaganza that night, starting around 9: 30 p.m., put on by the Taos Volunteer Fire Department, in conjunction with Town support. Should last approximately an hour. You can see the display from many places throughout Town, but ground zero is located at the rodeo grounds.
5) Expanded summer Chile Line Transportation schedule starts tomorrow, July 1st, 2008 – check out http://www.taosgov.com and click on Transportation for the specific schedule and other information.
