Yesterday afternoon, the New Mexico’s Secretary of State announced that Daniel Miera will be leaving his position with that office to join the Town of Taos July 1, 2008, as its Town Manager. At that time, current Interim Town Manager, Abigail Adame, will resume her responsibilities as Assistant Town Manager. Previously, Miera was Assistant Town Manager at the Town before taking the position in Santa Fe to head up the Office’s election efforts. Miera, and the Secretary of State, have received statewide kudos for the manner in which this June’s primary elections were run. Miera is originally from Taos. He has a Masters Degree in public administration. Photos of Miera are available to media upon request.
