Charles Lovell Art Sale - Stables Gallery - June 13, 2008
An overview exhibition of Charles Lovell’s work in color and black and white photography from the early 1980’s to the present, along with the showing of contemporary and historical art collected by Charles during this 30 plus year period in a wide range of media. Works will be for sale and will assist Norah and Lovell’s transition to a new life in New Orleans. Ten percent of the proceeds from all sales will be donated to SOMOS as a way to give back to the community.

The Taos Living Treasures program was created in 1987
to recognize the contributions of our senior citizens.
Living Treasures follows a simple selection process.Area residents write letters of nomination
for a person deemed worthy of special honors for a lifetime of volunteer service.A panel of judges selects five honorees from Taos County and Penasco region.
The program, co-sponsored by the Taos Center for the Arts and the Town of Taos, features a special public tribute, free to the public.This year’s festivities at Bataan Hall on Sunday, August 17 at 1pm, pays special homage to the honorees.The agenda includes speeches, entertainment and presentation of an award by the Mayor.The Friendship Dance and a reception round out the schedule.
