Taos Chamber of Commerce Elects New Board Members
Taos, NM
The Taos County Chamber of Commerce announced the election of three new board members and the re-election of another in voting by their membership. The new board members are Dr. Kate O’Neill, Executive Director of the University of New Mexico Taos Branch; Linda Knief, realtor at Dreamcatcher Real Estate; and Marc Coan, owner of Made in New Mexico. Former president of the chamber’s board of directors, Luis Reyes, CEO of Kit Carson Electric Coop, was re-elected to the board. Officers for the upcoming fiscal year will be chosen at the next board meeting on May 28, 2008.
The announcement was made at the Taos chamber’s monthly networking mixer, which was held at Inger Jirby Gallery, Sculpture Garden and Casitas. Members of the Taos County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are elected for three years terms. Each year four positions on the twelve member board become open for election. Remaining on the board are Shawn Duran, Taos Pueblo Education and Training Division; Christopher Madrid, Impact New Mexico; Scott McAdams, Peoples Bank; Tyler Hannigan, Taos is Art Online; Elizabeth Palacios, Taos Community Foundation; Gary Storch, Taos Mountain Electronics; Ralph Lombardi, Lombardi Art & Antiques; and Joanne Crass, The Taos News. The Taos Chamber CEO is Steve Fuhlendorf.
