Town of Taos News Brief #42, May 12, 2008
1) New Town of Taos Human Resources Director
Pending a complete/satisfactory background check, Sarah Amador has been hired to be the new Director of Human Resources for the Town of Taos, effective May 27, 2008. Amador brings Human Resource experience to this position, in addition to a Masters in Public Policy, emphasis on Management, from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and related government/management undergraduate degrees from New Mexico State University.
2) NMDOT U.S. 64 Construction in El Prado
Signs are up warning about coming construction delays, and to ‘seek alternate routes’. NMDOT will soon begin construction work on U.S. 64 in El Prado, but the first phase will reportedly be at night, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. – storm drain installation. Project schedules for other work are still being finalized. NMDOT pledges to provide at least a week’s notice before daytime traffic is severely impacted – a few weeks away. which should not happen I don’t foresee happening too soon. Does this help? Let me know.
