Taos Real Estate

Though not mentioned specifically, Taos certainly has a stake in how the national and worldwide markets go in second and vacation homes. In the Wall Street Journal Blog, a post speaks to the "Optimistic Outlook for Luxury Vacation-Home Market."

While a lot of the more recent activity has been outside the US, this post is predicting a move back into this country for buyers with plenty of money to spend on luxury places for fun.

I certainly hope these analysts are correct with one quote: “The boom in second home ownership over the past decade will be nothing compared with the growth we will see over the next decade,” That would certainly bode well for the Taos real estate market. I've been writing recently about waiting to sell unless you are willing to price aggressively. The question is how long before we start seeing a return of home buyers to the Taos real estate market.
