Have You Seen A Lynx in Taos County?

Sleeping beauty

Have you seen a lynx in the area? According to the state of Colorado, some 60 or so of these protected animals that were released there have migrated into our area.

Even more interesting, though protected as an endangered species in 14 states, including Colorado, they are NOT in New Mexico. It’s a beautiful animal, and conservation groups have filed suit in federal court to compel Fish and Wildlife to extend the protection of these cats to New Mexico.
