A nationally syndicated late-night radio program, America Tonight, hosted by Kate Delaney, was broadcast live from Taos last Wednesday and Thursday and the program is scheduled to be re-broadcast and may be heard online via KSL in Salt Lake City from 12am-3am tomorrow night, Thursday March 13, 2008.

Delaney, who also hosts a sport-talk radio program Saturday nights on the Fox Sport Radio Network, was given the key to the city by Mayor Bobby Duran.

The America Tonight national radio show was planned and produced with multiple tourism stake-holder groups included in the broadcast interview lineup including:

Delaney’s program is broadcast to more than 100 affiliates across the United States. Stations airing the show include KSL in Salt Lake City and KFTK in St. Louis, KJCE in Austin, TX and other medium and small markets in between like WVMT in Vermont(check out their website), WKMI, Kalamazoo, MI(check out their website). Several stations including KINF in Santa Maria, CA broadcast the show twice, for a total of eight hours at night.

While in town Delaney toured the city and visited several Art Galleries, the Taos Art Museum, and a trek to the Taos Ski Valley. Delaney also enjoyed a two-hour trek in Diane Pola’s rugged Subaru. The journey began at Taos Cow and worked its way up a snow packed mountain road to Pola’s B & B lodge.

Delaney ate at several restaurants and met city officials at lunch at Doc Martins before returning to her home in Dallas, TX.

Show producers are preparing an audio CD from each night’s show and the audio will be posted online, by the end of the month, as a podcast.

Griffin and Associates booked the show as part of the city tourism marketing plan.
