Today I was expecting a handyman to do some repairs at the house.  He called to say that he would be late, as the road to my house was blocked by the police.  It seems a group of elk had come down into town to see the sites.

I have a case of the flu, but was lucky enough to see them crossing Cruz Alta, about two blocks down the street.   They seem to have wandered around the area for a couple of hours.  It’s about time the elk invaded our habitat, as I’ve spent many a weekend looking for them on hikes and drives in theirs.  Ah…..only in Taos!
