Taos Homeowner Insurance Premium Reductions

Through the diligent efforts of our fire department, the homeowner insurance premiums for Town of Taos residents should be going down soon by 5% to 10%.

This story in the Taos News describes the process for upgrading the Town fire rating. This recently was accomplished with an upgrade from a rating of 5 to a 4, with 1 being best and 10 being worst. Now we can hope that the same procedure might help with insurance rates for the entire county at some point in the future.
