Canon and Canon Foothills areas are just 5 minutes drive out Kit Carson Road from the Plaza. Canon is the older part of the area, with many types of construction from mobiles to high priced homes and B & B’s. Canon Foothills is a newer area with huge views down over Taos, and newer homes, mostly pueblo and territorial in style.

The area is treed, with larger cottonwoods in the lower portions, and Juniper with Pinon in the foothills. This area is very popular due to the proximity to town.
