Listing for Sale - Taos Real Estate Marketing is Changing
If you own Taos real estate, whether it be land, a home or commercial property, at some point in time you will be considering placing it on the market. Real estate brokers had the luxury for many years of total control of information, as well as a very structured and un-challenged marketing system. Well, those days are gone.
The problem is that many Taos real estate brokers haven’t figured it out yet. It is a very different real estate marketing world out there. With the proliferation of other resources for searching MLS listings, as well as national real estate web sites, the average broker is far behind the market’s evolution. Just having a website isn’t even close to enough. Fewer than 2% of Taos real estate brokers have web logs. About the same number actually understand web syndication. That’s how to get your listing featured on many other sites, not just their brokerage.
Though we do not maintain a large office, nor do we do a lot of print marketing for our clients, Gallery Realty of Taos understands the current real estate marketing world. How do you know that? Because Jim Kimmons:
- Is a national writer on the subject for the New York Times at http://realestate.about.com.
- Consults with real estate agents and brokers around the country on the use of technology for real estate.
- Is a technology writer for AgentDirectNews.com.
Far from a lack of focus on our core real estate practice, these other pursuits keep us in the forefront of real estate practice and marketing innovations. Gallery Realty of Taos will not sit back and do it the old way. We will give you the facts about the current state of the market and how to best position your property for sale in the Taos real estate market.
